Kelvin Kerkow’s change of direction |
Fresh from a starring role in South Tweed’s Division 1 GCTDBA Pennant win over arch rivals Helensvale, Kelvin Kerkow is taking a career change and has announced his resignation as South Tweed’s Bowls Promotion Officer effective 31 October 2008.
Kelvin is commencing employment with BCIB in a Qld State Sales role and is excited about the challenge. “This new role will ideally set my future direction beyond bowls. With my employment, BCIB will allow me to remain bowling in prestigious events, locally, state-wide, nationally and internationally,” commented Kelvin.
South Tweed are currently negotiating an agreement with Kelvin for him to remain a part of the Club and continue to bowl for the Club on occasions such as Pennants and Premier League. “Kelvin’s positive influence on our bowlers coupled with his own superb game was evident in our successful Pennant season,” commented Club Chairman Doug White. “It has been a terrific 10 year association with Kelvin and I’m confident this will continue albeit in a different way,” added Club Chief Executive Officer Gordon Rhodes.
